So the SurroundBar doesn't have an orange input so I have my DirecTV box connected to my TV via HDMI and then the sound from the DirecTV box to the SurroundBar via the optical cable. My TV (Mitsubishi 65 inch that I bought a year ago) only has a digital audio output (the orange cord and NOT optical). As you can probably already tell, I'm not technical at all so please forgive my lack of knowledge. What's wrong with this thing? Please help! Any idea why? I'd really like to leave music playing or something but not if I have to get up and change the source back and forth every 5 minutes. It's not any loud sounds or anything that's shutting it off for saftey, it just stops working. I have to change the source and then back to the one its supposed to be on and it starts working again.for about 5 minutes and then does it again. The bar doesn't turn off as the blue light is still on and the ipod or computer is still playing but all sound stops. It only happens on certain channels though so I don't get it?Īlso, I tried connecting my ipod and computer to the sound bar via the headphone jack and it works perfectly for about 5 minutes and then stops. There's a few channels that the audio and video don't seem to match up and if I turn the TV speakers back on, it's in synch so I know it's something to do with the bar. This is a two part issue.I got the Soundbar for the holidays and love it for regular TV.
